Why is agricultural harvester technology constantly improving?

Combine harvesters are versatile machines. A modern combine harvester can combine four separate harvesting operations in one. These include reaping, threshing, and winnowing. In addition, it can harvest a wide range of crops, including wheat, corn, oats, and sunflower. With this versatile machine, farmers can reduce their workload.
Before the advent of the Wholesale Agricultural Harvesters, farmers used a six-horse team to push the header. The header was equipped with a large reel that pushed the straw into the header. The draper would then run up a chute that dropped the wheat into a wagon. The wagon would then be pulled by a three or four-horse team. The combined harvester was a major improvement in the industry.
A combine is equipped with specialized headers for different crops. The standard header, sometimes referred to as a grain platform, features a revolving reel with metal teeth and a cutter bar. The cut crop then falls into an auger. The "flex" platform, on the other hand, has a cutter bar that flexes, and is able to cut soybeans close to the ground.
